Packaging Working Group Adopts Three Sustainability Performance Drivers

The research committee and the operations committee for the Packaging Working group proposed adoption of three Sustainability Performance Drivers (SPDs) to be used Consortium-wide. They are 1. Material and recycled content, 2. weight and 3. converting process. The working group voted to adopt these three drivers. The packaging working group has created a SPD/SPI committee to develop this list further and hopes that by providing a list now, they can be included as a guide for packaging in the overall SMRS.
