SUMMARY:Tackling Deforestation in Supply Chains: A New Resource on Walmart’s Sustainability Hub
DESCRIPTION:During this session Walmart will announce the launch of a new resource designed to assist suppliers in visualizing the origins and deforestation impacts of key commodities – beef\, cocoa\, palm oil\, paper\, pulp\, and soybeans. Developed with WWF\, Conservation International\, Environmental Defense Fund\, TNC\, and The Sustainability Consortium\, this resource is designed to support suppliers at any point in their sustainability journey with maps and dashboards to identify priority regions for engaging in efforts to address the deforestation. Speakers will describe how to use the tools and how to get involved in regional jurisdictional projects to protect the world’s most vulnerable forests. \n  \nSpeakers\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n \n  \n\nJohn Buchanan\nConservation International \n  \n  \n\n
